About

My name is Martin (Nathaniel is my screen name), and I’m a Swedish atheist who simply got fed up with the way militant proponents of Creationism and Intelligent Design are able to spread their propaganda without question.

Creationism and Intelligent Design are being presented as “alternatives” to theories like evolution and the Big Bang. Not only that, but they are being presented as if they were actual science, when they are in fact driven solely by the religious movements. They pick and choose among their own people, sometimes people with actual scientific experience, and sometimes people with degrees in completely different areas, to find those that agree with their views. At the same time, they selectively dismiss areas of science that infringes upon their beliefs, often claiming that “it’s just not science” or that they are elaborate hoaxes, or even vast conspiracies.

Bear in mind that the science which gives you warmth and light, produces TVs and computers and allows for medicine and cures for any number of previously deadly diseases also includes evolution. To claim that evolution “just isn’t science” is to claim that every modern invention that makes your life easier in some way “just isn’t science” as well.

Pull The Plug On Ignorance aims to combat this recent development, by presenting the facts as objectively and truthfully as possible. This site has no agenda, except for the wish to remain as factual as possible.

This site is a result of, and a reaction to, the many sources of Creationist/ID propaganda on the Internet, mainly Living Waters and Pull The Plug On Atheism. Where they might pick-and-choose from the many quotes of, for example, Albert Einstein, we will present his own, untarnished view of the matter. Where they might claim science is something it’s not, we will set things straight.

This site does not want you to believe anything but the evidence.
